HINCHAS TO JOIN CLMP?

I am thinking of joining CLMP to make the work J. David and I do for Hinchas de Poesia a little more legit. They have created their own necessity and design and cultivate resources for independent and established presses. I think it will definitely advantageous for Hinchas to join them and better define the work we are striving to do with the online magazine and the micro-press.

The following are questions that I am going to have to answer with my online application. I am even thinking of calling the Membership Manager to consult...

1.) Describe the editorial focus or mission of your press or magazine

2.) Discuss future plans or goals for your organization. Are there any issues you hope CLMP can help you address?

NEW BANNERS FOR HINCHAS #3

J. David Gonzalez and I co-edit the online journal, Hinchas de Poesia, http://www.hinchasdepoesia.com. We are working on the the third issue and are at the point where we are trying out different stuff and "perusing" it on the web.

Well, J. David, what thinkest ye? Also, you read J. David's newest non-fiction piece in the Southern Indiana Review, click here. The piece is called, How Can I Help You? and is about the burning down of the restaurant J. David's family has owned for the past 20 years on Billy Bagg's State Park in Key Biscayne.

GOIF COMIX BY CHAZ FOLGAR

Goif! comix are made by hand by Chaz Folgar. He is an illustrator from Miami and the brother of one of my oldest friends and collaborators, Abel Folgar. Recently, Chaz illustrated a short story, "Compound Memorandum," by James Foley, journalist and foreign war correspondent.

Hinchas de Poesia Press is in the process of trying to publish Jim's short story and Chaz's illustrations.
